COUNTRY FIRE AUTHORITY – SUMMER SAFETY CAMPAIGN 2020

The Country Fire Authority engaged Hybridmedia to produce 16 short animations for their 2020 fire safety campaign. The animations had to be no longer than 10 seconds and therefore needed to be visually engaging whilst effectively communicating the campaign messaging.

After an extensive pre-production phase which involved close consultation with the CFA, storyboards, key art and animatics, Hybridmedia developed a campaign design aesthetic that combined semi realistic and stylised textures. This contrast in colour and texture highlighted campaign messaging within each animation by combining semi realistic texturing on objects key to the safety message with stylised and playful texturing on supporting elements.

This design aesthetic informed our creative approach for all animations and ensured the stakeholder’s experience was consistent and their engagement was maximised.
