Quest Engineering needed a video to launch their new MX series of venue speakers. The speakers have an IP67 rating meaning they are fully dust and water proof.
Using a custom built sandpit, actuator, rain machine, compressed air and a variety of lenses and frame rates we simulated the speaker rising out of a desert plain and into a storm environment. Extensive pre visualisation was conducted in the form of story boards and animatics to help realise the client’s vision. Tracked 3D graphics were also composited to the live action scenes.
